Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Form Watchdog.

By connecting your Google account to Form Watchdog or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use Form Watchdog.

1. About Form Watchdog

Form Watchdog is a service that connects to Google Forms™ to monitor new form responses and provide email notifications, Reminders, and related response follow-up features.

Form Watchdog is designed to help users reduce the risk of overlooking responses submitted through Google Forms™ and to help users track whether those responses have been handled.

Form Watchdog is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Google.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms to use Form Watchdog.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining control of your Google account;
• ensuring that you have the right to connect the Google Forms™ you select;
• ensuring that your use of Form Watchdog complies with applicable laws and organizational policies;
• maintaining accurate account and contact information.

You must not allow another person to use Form Watchdog through your account in a way that violates these Terms.

3. Google account access

Form Watchdog uses Google OAuth to request access to the Google Forms™ you choose to monitor.

Form Watchdog currently requests read-only access necessary to:

• read the structure of the selected Google Form;
• read submitted responses;
• identify new responses;
• retrieve a specific response when you explicitly request to view its details;
• provide the monitoring, notification, Reminder, and response follow-up features you enable.

Form Watchdog does not use this access to create, edit, or delete your Google Forms™ or their responses.

You may revoke Form Watchdog's access through your Google Account settings.

4. Form response data

You are responsible for the Google Forms™ you connect to Form Watchdog and for ensuring that you have any permissions, notices, consents, or other legal basis required to process the information submitted by respondents.

Form Watchdog offers different notification-content and follow-up options.

Notification only

When this option is used, notification emails do not include the respondent's submitted answers.

Full response in email

If you enable this option, the contents of the response are temporarily processed to create and deliver the email notification.

If you separately choose to include that content in a Reminder, an encrypted copy receives a 72-hour expiration and may be removed earlier when the response is handled or the Reminder workflow finishes. Firestore TTL removes expired copies asynchronously. Otherwise, Form Watchdog does not store response contents in its application database.

View details

When you explicitly choose to view the details of a response, Form Watchdog retrieves that specific response from Google Forms™ using your authorized connection. This may include respondent information made available by Google Forms™, questions, and submitted answers.

Those details are displayed for your authenticated follow-up request and are not added to the Form Watchdog database solely because you viewed them.

Response follow-up

Form Watchdog may store technical follow-up information associated with a response, including whether it is unhandled, overdue, handled, or temporarily snoozed, as well as Reminder and follow-up timestamps.

This follow-up information does not require Form Watchdog to permanently store the submitted answers.

5. Email notifications

Form Watchdog uses email notifications and optional Reminders as part of the service.

Email delivery depends on third-party systems and services, including email providers and Resend.

We do not guarantee that every email will:

• be delivered;
• arrive immediately;
• reach the recipient's inbox instead of a spam or junk folder;
• be read or acted upon by the recipient.

Form Watchdog's monitoring, Reminder, and retry mechanisms are intended to improve reliability and follow-up but do not constitute a guarantee of email delivery or action by the recipient.

Google Forms™ may also provide its own notification features. If both Google Forms™ notifications and Form Watchdog notifications are enabled, you may receive more than one notification relating to the same form response.

6. Monitoring frequency

Form Watchdog checks connected forms automatically at periodic intervals.

The service is not represented as real-time monitoring.

There may be a delay between submission of a Google Form response, detection by Form Watchdog, delivery of a notification, and delivery of any Reminder configured for an unhandled response.

Snooze and Reminder timing are also subject to periodic processing and should not be treated as exact real-time timers.

Form Watchdog should not be relied upon for emergency communications, life-safety functions, or situations requiring guaranteed immediate notification.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Form Watchdog to:

• violate applicable laws or regulations;
• access a Google Form without authorization;
• interfere with or disrupt the service;
• attempt to bypass authentication, security, rate limits, or access controls;
• introduce malware or malicious code;
• use the service for fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes;
• attempt to access another user's data or account;
• reverse engineer or misuse the service except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or third parties.

8. Third-party services

Form Watchdog relies on third-party services, including services provided by:

• Google;
• Google Cloud;
• Firebase;
• Resend.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for outages, changes, restrictions, delays, or failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Changes made by Google to Google Forms™, Google APIs, OAuth, permissions, quotas, or other services may affect Form Watchdog's operation.

9. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep Form Watchdog reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may:

• maintain or update the service;
• modify features;
• introduce new features;
• remove or replace features;
• temporarily suspend parts of the service when reasonably necessary.

Where practical, material changes affecting active users may be communicated through the service or by email.

10. Beta and developing features

Form Watchdog is an evolving service.

Features may be tested, changed, improved, or discontinued as the product develops.

You should maintain access to your original Google Forms™ and should not treat Form Watchdog as the sole permanent record of form responses.

Google Forms™ remains the authoritative location for the original responses submitted to your Form.

11. Fees and paid plans

Form Watchdog may offer free, paid, trial, or subscription-based plans.

Any pricing, billing period, usage limits, renewal terms, or cancellation conditions applicable to a paid plan will be disclosed before you purchase that plan.

We will not charge you for a paid plan without presenting the applicable pricing and purchase terms.

12. Intellectual property

Form Watchdog, its software, branding, interface, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms give you a limited right to use the service. They do not transfer ownership of Form Watchdog or its underlying technology to you.

You retain ownership of your Google Forms™ and the information contained in them.

13. Privacy

Our handling of personal information and Google user data is described in the Form Watchdog Privacy Policy.

By using Form Watchdog, you acknowledge that information will be processed as described in that policy.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect the service and information processed through it.

However, no online service, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your own Google account and immediately addressing suspected unauthorized access to it.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Form Watchdog is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not warrant that the service will always be:

• uninterrupted;
• error-free;
• available at a particular time;
• compatible with every Google Form configuration;
• capable of preventing every missed response, Reminder, or notification failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Form Watchdog and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service.

This includes, where legally permitted, losses resulting from:

• missed or delayed notifications or Reminders;
• email delivery failures;
• delayed follow-up state changes;
• outages;
• third-party service failures;
• unauthorized account activity;
• reliance on a notification or Reminder that was delayed or not delivered.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

17. Termination

You may stop using Form Watchdog at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:

• violation of these Terms;
• fraudulent or abusive activity;
• security risks;
• legal requirements;
• discontinuation of the service.

You may request deletion of your Form Watchdog account data by contacting:

Revoking Google authorization through your Google Account is separate from signing out of Form Watchdog.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to you under the laws of your jurisdiction.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Form Watchdog evolves.

The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.

If a change materially affects existing users, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
